Increased capacity for the region

The Warrnambool Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade project is in its final stage. The new system is connected and the sewage flow to the new tanks has been gradually increasing to bring the plant up to full capacity.

To help restore the surrounding area and screen the site, more than 30,000 native plants have been purchased. The big task of planting these out will start soon.

We’re excited that our largest ever infrastructure project is nearly ready to go. When it’s fully operational, the upgraded plant will be able to handle up to an extra 12 megalitres of sewage per day.
